Approval letter was received in my maiden name even though the marriage certificate was provided and it was made clear on the application. (Maybe because my Indian passport is still in my maiden name?) Need to look into how this affects my British passport application.

I wrote a cover letter asking them to put my naturalization in my married name. I also have a Indian passport. But home office was kind and put my married name on my certificate. Now I need to start dealing with the Indian Government. Not looking forward to that. Need to cancle my Indian passport, and get a OCI card.

Got home and no envelope Hurry up HO !!

I'd Call HO to find out if all is okay - it's longer than usual but that said, there isn't anything usual when HO is involved

I called them last week. They said it can take up to 3 weeks to get to the caseworker

Yes, it took 15 days, but according to AN guide it may take up to 4 weeks, so relax

In short from start to finish, from naturalisation application to passport receipt it's taken one month (excluding bank holidays).

I wish everyone the greatest of luck and hope you all get approved really quickly. I know I have been somewhat fortunate of my quick turn around time so I won't patronise you all by saying "be patient" as just today I phoned the passport office to enquire about that!

I wouldn't worry too much. Mine went in on the 19th and my fees were only taken on the 2nd of April. I think end of financial year, holidays and new fees and forms being updated has made it a bit slower than the beginning of the March applications.
