Hi Liam,

If there is no mystery happens than we should be ok. As i have seen people waiting for 4 months and few got it in 3 weeks. Hopefully there would be something that caused this with a reason.

If all goes well we should be expecting an approval in 2 to 3 days in sha Allah, but lets see :)

I have recently received my ILR on basis of 10 years. I want to apply MN1 for my two kids born in uk but now aboard.

Can any one please guide me through on the following basis

- My wife is still my dependent
- Kids born in 2012 & 2013 and travelled aboard in March, 2014

With above circumstances can I apply their MN1 from here (UK) even they are aboard, if not can I than apply from aboard.

Please respond ASAP, will be grateful if anyone contact/pass details of someone who is/was in same boat. Many Thanks

Hi Everyone

I have noticed for some applications that were received by HO towards the end of March/beginning of April and money has not been deducted yet. Can anyone who is in such a situation update us if they had any correspondence with HO or if the money has been taken. I have posted my children's application on 7th and received by HO on 8th and to date to money has been taken nor acknowledgement letter has been received. I would appreciate your replies.

Thank you

I am facing a similar situation. I posted my son's application via NCS on 14th April 2015. His application was delivered on 15th April 2015 but the money has not been deducted till date. I checked this forum page and there are many in a similar situation. looks like there is a backlog for applications received end of March/beginning of April.

Post by rishikumar02 » Wed Apr 22, 2015 6:54 pm

Hi

I got my ILR in May 2014, My daughter was born in UK in 2011. My wife is still on Tier2 dependent visa

Whether my daughter is eligible for Naturalisation directly without going for ILR, She is also on Tier2 dependent visa ?
if yes Which category i should apply the application under section 1(3) or different

This is something very urgent please respond

So there should not be any problem. Since I am on ILR and wife is on Tier2 dependent visa ? My daughter was out in 2012 for 6 month and she was out for 15 month in 2014. Is the no of days outside UK is not applicable for her ? Please confirm

The term used for children applications as BC is Registration and not Naturalisation. The requirements for children are a lot simpler than for adults.

UK born

In the child was born in the UK before one parent had ILR/PR, then once one parent is granted ILR, the child is entitled register as BC under section 1(3) of the British Nationality Act irrespective of their immigration status.

This application is an entitlement and as such the HO has no discretion in the decision if the statutory requirements are met. The application can be made any time before the child is 18. The only documents required are UK birth certificate and evidence that parent obtained ILR/PR. The application can be made if the child is in the UK or abroad.

If the child was born in the UK after one parent has ILR/PR, then the child is British from birth and can apply directly for a passport.
Note- I'm not an expert, but the above info was posted by one of the Gurus on here.

Hi there! I've been stalking around this forum for a couple months now, and have finally submitted my MN1 application on behalf of my 18 month old daughter. There's some really helpful info on this site! Anyways, the package was supposedly received in the Capital building last Friday. The weirdest thing happened though, the tracking sheet said that it was signed for by a C. Guilsh and the location was "Pharmacy." I do know it made it to the capital building, but why the pharmacy? So of course I'm freaking out because my whole identity is in that envelope. I've emailed them about it and am waiting for a response. How long did it take for you guys to get a response after they received the package?

Eligibility criteria: section 3(2)
Method of application: Post
Date of receipt by UKBA: waiting
Date of debit of fees: waiting
Date of receipt of acknowledgement: waiting
Date of receipt of document: waiting waiting
Date of receipt of approval: waiting
Date of receipt of registration certificate: waiting

Hi

I have also submitted MN1 form for my son on 14th April 2015 but I have not received any response yet. I have not even received any acknowledgement or they have not taken fees yet.

I have seen few people are already waiting in this forum.

Please keep updating the status.

Thanks
Kunal
