What makes you think you need an agency? If they have a straightfoward application, anyone who can be bothered to download the guidance notes and application form can apply themselves and save themselves a fortune.
In a few years time we'll look back on immigration control like we look back on American prohibition in the thirties - futile and counter-productive.

A straight forward application does not need the assistance of an agency.

However, it only takes a look through the pages of this board to see that a lot of applications are refused when a) the applicant thinks he meets the criteria but does not b ) the applicant does meet the criteria but submits incorrect or incomplete documentation.

Read the rules VERY carefully. If your documents do not exactly fit the Home Office model then you may wish to consult a specialist.

If you do, please make sure that you use a firm based in the UK, and one which is either registered with the Law Society or the OISC www.oisc.gov.uk

Do the application yourself and show it to a friend and see if the friend understands what you submitted.

I'm not sure that is good enough advice - how will a friend know what documents the Home Office need to see?
