Is this case already allotted to any case worker... or will it be allotted now after this interview????

Hi
Update of my interview.
I had interview today sunday 9am at liverpool HO.
They wanted to check my english ability and LIUK knowledge.
Interview was only for 10 minute.
She asked me few questions about LIUK.
How i booked it?
How i paid for test?
What material I used to study?
Why i choose that centre?
What kind of questions were there in exam?
Did you booked it your self or someone helped you to book it?

Lady was friendly and soft spoken.

At the end of interview she said your english is very good, and gave me thank you letter.
Now just need to wait for decision.

@AshRay
Hi mate. It was exactly same as you said. Thank you for sharing your experience.
Before i ask the question to her what you told me, she said that this is the final step of your application.
She told me in very beginning that this interview is very simple nothing to worry about its last stage.
So i understood that case worker is working on it.
Its been 4 weeks since your interview so you should be getting your result soon.
Let me know once you get it.
Kind regards.

Hi all,
My husband applied for naturalisation in April. About a week ago we contacted the Home Office to request an update as it is now past the 6 month estimate. This morning we received a letter requesting that we both attend an interview in Liverpool next month, attached to the letter was an information sheet about marriage interviews.

My husband is Algerian and I am Irish we have four children and have lived in London together continuously since we got married . I am assuming that they are suspicious that the marriage is not genuine- is that the right assumption to have?

I can see that others have received similar letters but nobody has updated on what happened at the interview- does anyway have any recent experiences to share?

Also, does anybody know if it is possible to request that the interview be held elsewhere or can it only be conducted in Liverpool?

All and any information is much appreciated!

The fact that you have 4kids together, and are still together is not enough proof that you're genuine ? Think it's only Liverpool. Maybe take ur kids birth certificates/passports just in case...

WOW! The Home Office didn't suspect anything until your husband applied for citizenship and asking for proof despite having 4 kids. If we look back into the history the Nazi used to treat Jews in such manner at the beginning. I'm very saddened to hear this story, this government is steering the country away so much that I don't even recognise her anymore. Shambles.

I would be extremely chary of using such statements or comparisons. Such language on an online forum might be considered inflammatory and should be strongly deprecated at the very least.

As regards UmmZ's case, we do not know why the couple have been called for an interview and it would be unwise to speculate, especially in the language highlighted above.

A cursory glance down this thread suggests that people who have got interview letters seem to have predominantly come via the EEA routes. Given that the UK government can not scrutinise applicants on the EEA routes as thoroughly as it does applicants on the UK Immigration routes, it is possible (I am speculating) that they are scrutinising these applicants much more thoroughly at citizenship stage, which is completely under the control of national governments.
