ive received my approval on 01/07/15 dated 24 june 2015.

Imran never received invitation letter from Westminster Council . just phoned the number the day after receiving approval letter . Ceremony was booked on the phone for Monday 6th july , confirmed by email ,[/quote]

Thanks Paulus. I booked private ceremony for today at 12.30 instead of 13th.

Finally I received my wife's approval letter on 29th June (dated 18th June). We applied on 16th Feb so took a while to come

Got my approval today , here is my timeline:

Just received a letter from HO asking me for original passport and Original letter from Immigration and Nationality Directorate (now known as HO) for my ILR. My question is I used NCS and they authenticated and photocopied the exact same documents, so why is HO asking for them? (am guessing I paid £50 to NCS for nothing!). Anyway, they were specific in the passport they want, they asked for my oldest passport which is between 13/01/1988-93 (its the one with my ILR as I never transferred to any other passport and have been traveling with two passport each time I had a new one). So when I send these two (passport with ILR and HO letter confirming my ILR), how safe is it to send these off. Basically should something happen and HO lose my documents - I will have no proof? What is the safest way for me to receive my documents back once I have sent them.

Kind of urgent as am on my way out to Post office to send these off. Any advice highly appreciated. Thanks.

Just send them the passport and the documents they demand for and make sure you have photocopy of your passports with you,including the ILR.Also send it via special delivery. i am sure your application will be granted soon.

I think you should also enclose a special delivery envelop for the return of your documents as well. They also say so on An guide book as well.

I got my approval letter 5th July dated 22June.The HO letter said,do not contact with council until you receive invitation from us,if not receive in two weeks email us. Can I email them according to the date 22nd June or wait more ? Any one tell me how long it take to receive invitation letter. Thanks

call the council anyway and ask them if theres a certificate
there for you ...its been 2 weeks from the date of that letter!

the same here, but I called the council and they have not found my details yet, so they advised me to call them by the end of this week.
however I do not think it is a big deal if you call them.
