Salaam to all,

I phoned the helpline today as it has been 11 weeks and 1 day since my wifes biometrics were submitted. I have enquired 4 or 5 times as to the status via email and kept receiving the standard emails. Today the guy on the phone said our application has been with the eco for 4 weeks and we should hear back any day now. I asked what is the absolute latest I can expect to hear and he said by the end of August. I asked for email confirmation and received the below:

We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your
visa application. I have tracked the status and found that a decision on
your application has been delayed whilst further enquiries are being
conducted. Your visa application centre or the entry clearance officer will
contact you once a decision has been made or, if necessary, during the
consideration of your application.

Has anybody else received this? Is this good or bad?

InshaAllah it will be good news.

Based on the experience of my friend being refused visa recently i think its best to re apply if it is easier to do so and maybe cheaper as well. He got refused eventhough his one was a edge case

From what i hear and read here i have reached a conclusion that there is no such thing as a perfect application. One is bound to miss something or a rule. Best of luck everyone and God help us.

So when it says 'your application has been delayed' this is not necessarily bad news meaning there is a problem with the application? Is this a normal email to receive?

Iv emailed them to chase up my escalation. should get a response by tommorow. I'm probably going to give them a call on Monday when it's 11 weeks to see how long. Tbh I don't think they've even looked at my case yet. Also going to try finding out what day Applications they're processing. At the moment still seems to be end of April ones.

@irfan

No not bad news necessarily
Since they are still working on end of April applications and have sent this delay email to most beginning of may applicants i probably because of delays caused due to the eid break and that with some applications they may go over the 12 weeks maybe by a few days so just keep faith and do dua
Will keep everyone in my duas
May we all hear back soon

Yours is about same stage as mine so would be with eco and if like every other may applicant will receive a delayed for further checks email which I think is because they are running a little slow

Thank you brother, wife will be going from parents house in Lahore to our house in Islamabad. It would be good to get the decision as the wait for the decision puts you on edge. I don't want to build up my hopes too much as I don't want to get upset too much in case it is rejected for any reason, but either way it will be a move forward and closer to eventual conclusion.

Inshallah your wifes application will be successful. I think that due to the eid holidays some decisions may get slightly delayed but hopefully by end of next week or early the following week you should get a decision.

Salam,

I think only people who applied in early May received this email. I applied for the Mrs on the 21st May and only escalated the case yesterday (Tuesday) (Just under 9th Week). The guy on the phone said they were on target and the process time was 98% in 90 days and were expecting no delays and as usual with an escalation  I will hear back from them within 5 working days. I think they are just clearing the April back log and I reckon May applicants may start hearing back from BHC from next week InshAllah. With the blessing of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Ale Muhammad (A.S) May Allah accept all our duas.

Salam all,

Been a silent reader on this forum for a while. Just wanted to say a big thank you to every one here for their contributions. There is some exceptional info available here which is very well explained but above all every one has been so kind and patience in helping each other.

I am British national & have applied for my wife's spouse visa mid May. Was wondering if end of April or early May applicants have started to hear back.

Visa Timeline
Married: 18/04/2015
Online Application: 07/05/15
Documents Submitted @ Lhr: 13/05/2015
