All done in 4 months, taking into account the holiday period in December, the 2 weeks between the date of approval letter and receipt, and the 1 month wait for the ceremony.

Firstly many thanks for all the guidence I got from this board.

I got my approval letter and council invitation for ceremony on wednesday 23/03.

My timeline as below

Applied Through Brent (barnet) under JCAP on 20th Jan
Fee taken for AN: 4th Feb
Fee taken for Passport: 20/02
Bio done on 08/02
Approval letter recieved Today 16th Marc (dated 26th feb)
Ceremony Appoinment: 23rd March

Eligibility: 1.5 years Tier 1 general, 3.5 years Tier 2 general, 1 year ILR.

APPLIED VIA: MY LOCAL NCS.
DATE RECEIVED BY UKBA: 04/02/2016
DATE ON LETTER FOR BIOMETRICS: 10/02/2016
CONFIRMATION EMAIL: 11/02/2016
MONEY DEDUCTED: 11/02/2016
BIOMETRICS DONE: 20/02/2016
DATE OF APPROVAL: 14/03/2016

It looks like the current timeline is that approval is granted 3 to 4 weeks after you do the Biometrics if your application is straight forward.
