Travelling before OCI collection

Hi all

We are planning to go to US for the long weekend, only for a couple of days. My wife applied for OCI and today (Friday) the status shows as OCI being printed in India but it has not been dispatched to London yet.

Can someone please confirm if it is going to be okay to collect the OCI after our trip? First week of June.

I am just double checking in case there are any rules I am breaking due to travelling or if it is not good to delay collection for this long (I think it will be a couple of days).

Yes, it's okay for you to complete your US trip. You can't go to VFS to submit your British passport till the OCI status says received at HCI in the UK. There is no set date within which you have to go so you'll be fine.
