Congrats Favour100 and thanks for coming back! And you too Stefan7!

Stefan, looks like it took them almost 3 months to approve your DCPR and a few more weeks to deliver it! Do you think your case was particularly complex?

Thank you salmintin. And thanks for everybody for all the advice and support.

I don't think my case was complicated. I came to UK in 2006 and never left for more than 2 weeks at the time.Since 2008 I work for the same employer. I sent my WRS,blue card,P60's for the past 5 years, bank statements, council tax bills, shared account bills and all my pay slips for the first year to prove that I was working full time (2006-2007).

Application for document certifying PR

Post by Inge_184 » Wed Jun 08, 2016 2:27 pm

Hello, I am an EU citizen and sent off my application for a document certifying PR about a month ago. My payment was taken 4 weeks ago, but should I not receive an acknowledgment? Does anyone know what the timeline is at the moment? I was told by the helpline it could take up to 6 months, but saw from previous posts that it could be much quicker. I am looking to apply for citizenship asap so it would be helpful to know when to get things ready. Many thanks!

Hi Inge,

Not everyone receives an email confirmation. We have had confirmation on a timeline for a DCPR being received with no confirmation at all.

It would seem at the moment EU applications from sending off to receiving DCPR takes ~90 days, some longer.

I wrote here some time ago my EEA PR application was refused as home office said i had no WRS.
I had and i appeal this decision, I won the appeal, get the letter from the court around 10 days ago.
Do I have to do anything else at the moment ?
Or after i won the appeal home office will just send me the eea pr card ? (so i have to only be patient)

Please advise as there was nothing in the letter from court regarding this.

Thank you.

Hi hamodziakto, congratulations! Can you please give us a few more details about what happened?

1. How long did it take for you to receive the refusal?
2. How long did the appeal process take?

Did you have WRS after all? If yes, why did the Home Office think you didn't?

I think in principle now you should just wait and you'll get your things back.

I need to check dates on documents to be honest, but i can say after i applied i get refusal after 5 weeks (around), they send me back all my documents + refusal letter inside.
In this pale of documents i found mine WRS as well, so i am not sure if they missed this or what happened.
Anyway i made copies of my WRS and sent to court, after 2 months (around) i get a letter from court my papers are fine and i won my appeal.

I found it really strange as WRS is issued by home office and i am sure even if i wouldn't supply it (but i did) they can check in their system.

So now i think i just need to be patient and wait for my card to arrive.

Anybody in similar situation ?
Won appeal and just waited for the card to arrive ?
How long does it take ?

Thought I'd share my timeline so far.

Romanian national applying for PR. I've been living in the UK for about 8 years, student 2008-2014, working since then. I didn't have CSI or an EHIC, but I had a yellow registration certificate so I argued for it in my cover letter.

PR Application sent: 19/03/16
PR Application recd: never got a reply
Payment taken: 23/03/16

No reply whatsoever from the home office. Hope to get something in the mail any day now, I'm kind of ruffled that I never got any reply at all from HO.
