Exchange UK driving licence with non-EU driving licence

Post by makit1219 » Thu Nov 17, 2016 10:53 pm

I realised there is a 5 years limitation when becoming resident to exchange for a UK driving licence, but I'm not sure about my residency state.

I'm an international student from Hong Kong.
I've spent 3 years studying in the UK between Sep 2010 - June 2013,
then I went back to Hong Kong for 1 year between June 2013 - Sep 2014,
then I came back to the UK for another course since Sep 2014 till now (Dec 2016).
Am I considered a UK resident since Sep 2010 or Sep 2014? As I was back home and not a UK resident between June 2013 - Sep 2014?
