Has the rental income been declared to HMRC and any tax due paid?

My husband is paid every 2 weeks and is paid hourly so his pay varies each time
I have added every months pay for the past 6 months pay as follows

October £1607.86
November £1476.16
December £1490.48
January £1497.38
February £1416.23
March £2249.28

He has been working for the same employer for 2 years
In his contract it mentions he works 8am-5.30pm 6 days and paid hourly £7.50 but he usually works more then those hours and he does overtime sometimes

Do we meet the financial requirement and under which category do we apply in the FLR (m) form?

Check your figures using this calculation. You don't meet the requirements with just his salary. You will need to gather documentation for your rental income and/or savings also.

Sorry how do you mean 'Check your figures using this calculation'

if i add October £1607.86
November £1476.16
December £1490.48
January £1497.38
February £1416.23
March £2249.28

It equals to £9737.39
Divide by 6 equals £1622.89
Times by 12 equals £19474.78

Thats more then £18600

Is a job contract mandatory? If there is only an employers letter would that suffice?

Bank Statements

Post by Yazzy » Mon Apr 10, 2017 1:29 pm

My husband was last paid in to his bank account on 28th March and our latest bank statement was printed on 27th March
Its under 28 days old but
The his last wages doesn't show in the bank statement but we have the pay slip
Will this be a problem for Home Office as we are applying in person On Wednesday?

Your payslip MUST match the bank statement so yes, it will be a problem. Why can't he just go into the bank and ask for a statement from the 27th/28th to present?

Thank you for your reply back
I went to the bank today and got a copy from them and got it stamped aswell so thank you!

We are submitting 12 months bank statements and payslips
His first pay slip is dated 13 April 2016 and his last payslip is dated 29th March 2017
Does this count as 12 months or do i need to show payslips until April 2017 as the first payslip is from April 2016?
We also have his work deduction sheet which has the April 2016-March 2017 pay calculations etc

Also the first bank statement that shows the 13th April 2016 wages was printed on 25th March 2016 so it shows a pay from work on 30th March 2016 but i haven't added that payslip in as its not in the deduction sheet
Should i add it in?
That pay is only shown in the bank statment and i have highlighted it by accident aswell
Does this matter?

You can apply under CAT B and provide 12 months salary as his income is variable but meets 18,600. Why not wait end of this month to make sure full year is covered.

Since you seem to be doing all the running around sorting his application out;, in terms of savings, make sure its in a joint account at the very least as you dont want him to be saving "all his earnings" and then not use it to one day maintain you. Seen lots of cases where spouse saves saves saves and then sends the money back to extended family back home and not use it on new family here. All the best

There is no requirement that savings must be held in a joint account.

I know there isn't a requirement for joint. I am just saying make sure she has access to funds too because it seems all earnings are going to savings, which I hope gets used for purpose of maintaining family here in UK.

Excellent news,

Amazing how much pain-free it can be when you can actually get a decision on the day and not wait endlessly!
