Hi everybody,

I need to advice about my travel document if anyone have any idea
I applied for ILR last month and I sent my expired ID and my expired travel document
Can I apply for travel document right now before I get my ILR DECISION?
And what outcome I will get? Do the put it on hold until my ILR decided or they gave a limited travel document?

Anyone can help as my ILR will take an average 6 month plus travel document processing time so probably I can’t go anywhere by charismas.

Thanks

Hi all

I have received acknowledgement and BRP today. But HO not use my prepaid envelope to return BRP, They used their own signed for delivery services. I think they keep my prepaid signed for delivery envelope to return my old TD, as they use courier company to deliver new TD.

I have applied for my rd straight away after I revived my ILR . This was 15/07/2017. I received the ackoldgment letter 2 months down the line.

It's 75 working days now and I did not hear from them. I searched the internet and couldn't find a number for them. I have sent an email and no response .

hello Minolindo, yes you need to send your BRP with your application as well as your old travel document but, you will get your BRP within 3-4 weeks. I applied on the 6 of September for renewal got my BRP after 4 weeks and a letter which says you application is in the que for the caseworker to review it and it will take within 70 working days.

Convention Travel Documents application time experience

Post by MOR2017 » Wed Nov 29, 2017 4:47 pm

Hi All
Here is my timeline,

Applied online on 8/Aug/2017 (+1 dependant)
Documents posted on 11/Aug/2017
Acknowledgement received on 30/Sep/2017
TRD received Today on : 29/Nov/2017

I should mention that I didnot send the original ILR as i got confirmation email that it is not needed just a clear paper copy of both sides will be enough . Obviously Original of old travel document must be sent plus photos and print out of application forms signed by a solicitor and also back of the photos must be signed as well. To make sure you send everythings simply follow whatever is written on the application form , not more nor less.

It is time for mid Aug applicants ,
Thanks to whoever that shared their timeline.
It is Travel time Now :-)
Good Luck

hi guys, I went through the topic but it got me so confused as I cant tell if there is a difference in waiting time between a first time and a renewal after expiry, can anyone shed a light? will the time wait usually be shorter for renewal or it's the same regardless?
