On what basis did you get ILR, 5 years Tier 1 or 10 years long residence???

You can apply for her in person yes.

£630 maintenance funds for 90 days.

You need to pay £600 IHS. See link below for a work around on the problem some members experience.

Really Appreciate your help and inputs on this. Even though my wife works pays tax and NI we still have to pay IHS!
Can I apply in December in Person? Her visa renewal date is 23 Jan 2018. I believe I can apply within 90 days right ?

One question is that even if my wife works pays tax and NI we still have to pay IHS?
Yes. All visa applicants have to pay the Immigration Health Surcharge since April 2015, regardless of whether they work or not or have private medical insurance. It is immigration related, not work related.

What date did she ENTER the UK as a PBS Dependent?

No, there is no 90 concession for PBS Dependents.

She is only able to apply within 28 days before reaching 5 years residence which is calculated from date of ENTRY to the UK and not visa issue date.

My wife first entered UK on a visa on 31st May 2014. Her visa was "visa tier 1 (general) partner issued from 17/04/2014 until 29/01/15 paper visa". She then got the PBS dependant leave to remain on 23/01/2015 valid until 23/01/2018 biometric card, which we now intend to renew.

I am unable to answer your application form questions. Only thing I can say is that it is your wife that is the main applicant as she is applying, not you.

Hi Rohanwadke/CR001,

We have an exact situation like yours and it will be very helpful if you can share your experience with us.

I have ILR which I acquired on 7th July 2015 after completion of 5 years in Tier 1 General.

My wife entered UK on 14th May 2014 and was initially given a visa until 14th July 2015.
she got an extension until 14th July 2018,

I now need to apply for another extension for her in June this year so that she can get ILR eligible next year in 2019.

I have few things I need information on:

1. Can you share details of how you filled the application form and which form did you fill, was it online or downloaded from the site?

2. When I fill the application online it asks me to get the IHS reference number and in the online IHS application form it asks for my visa expiration date which is now being an ILR has the date until 2024. With this date it calculates IHS fees to be about £1400 and once this date is displayed it does not let me move away from this screen.
On a different post (uk-tier-1-general-visas/pbs-dependant-e ... 36654.html) I read that we have to pay £600 to get an extension, however, I am confused how can I choose to pay £600 when I am not getting any option that allows me to do so.

Hi Vibhor,

I am also similar situation of your as below.

2. With this date it calculates IHS fees to be about £1400 and once this date is displayed it does not let me move away from this screen.

Did you figure out, how much NHS surcharge needs to pay? £1400 or £600?

Many thanks,
Sonam

Dear All
Could anyone please help re this IHS issue.
What should the visa expiry date be on the IHS website when the main applicant/sponsor has recently become a British Citizen.
The IHS should be £600 for a 3 year PBS dependent extension but due to confusion of visa expiry its calculating some non-sense amount.
Could someone please help.
We are getting very close to the expiry date of our visa and need to send it asap for extension.
Thank you for any help at all.
Regards.

Hi Sonam/ESN,

My wife's extension application date is 27th April and in order to move forward I have just put in a dummy IHS reference number and taken a premier appointment where in I will be able to make the payment for IHS then and there.

I have done loads of research but could not find any guidance but everybody did mention that taking the premier appointment helped them pay only £600 rather paying the non-sensical amount of £1400 etc.

I have assummed that this is what they have done as well.

Cheers

You cannot pay the IHS at the premium centre. They do not process any payments at the centres anymore.

You should NOT have used a 'dummy IHS' number!!

All you needed to do was pay IHS separately on the IHS page and then put the number in the online form OR put your ILR expiry date for 3 years ahead to get £600 payable.

Oh man, That is a clear mistake on my end,

any suggestions how I can rectify this at all?

I did not want to put in wrong information about the expiry date of my ILR and from earlier posts I believed we can make the payment at the centre.

Which 'earlier posts'. Premium centres stopped processing any payment a couple of years ago already.

Pay the IHS directly on the IHS payment page and get the reference number and take it with you to the appointment.

Click on the link I previously posted.

Your ILR expiry date is completely irrelevant to your spouse dependent application or IHS payment. It is merely a way to get the correct amount generated to pay.

Many Thanks CR001

This was my assumption that we can make the payment for IHS when we get to the centre, clearly I was wrong.

Thanks for pointing it out, I will make the payment for IHS now and then will take it along on the appointment day.

I am worried that they refuse our application and ask us to resubmit the fees again.
