Maximum stay outside UK

Hi Gurus

I am asking this question on behalf of my friend.

He is currently on Entrepreneur visa and for work purpose he has to travel outside UK. He has confusion over how many days maximum can he stay outside in one stretch as his understanding from the guidance is 180 days.. is he right?

Also to qualify for ILR hiw many days in total does he allow to be outside in 5 years period?

There is no absence limit under Tier 1E rules.
However absence limits apply if you want to settle permanently (ILR). It is max 180 days per residence year. Also note that you cannot split your asbeces between two residence years

Hi zimba could you explain a bit more? You mean if we apply for ILR then we shouldnt be out more than 180 days in 5 years? Or what your sentence mean. Thanks.
