French Visa

Post by giruzz » Tue Jun 03, 2008 4:10 pm

I just have two questions on how to get a French visa in London.

1- Why French Cit got more slots than Family Member of EU Cit? Is not supposed to be all the same? There are always places for Family Members of French Citizens but I can't see for EU Cit?

2- I call the 09x number and I'm told that there are no available places for the next 34days and to call back the following morning. I call back the following morning and the places for the day are already gone....

3- The website is always-always full if you apply for a visa as EU Family Member or Tourist...

How the hell am I supposed to book?

4- Why Spain and France do not recognize de-facto/un-married couples or British Residency card?

May be you need to go to spec savers. :D which country are you intend to go? Just France or anywhere else? If so you can apply to other schengen country and go to France. I had swedish visa to go to france, Denmark and ofcourse sweden.

The original plan was Netherlands, France and then Italy.

At the moment france is the only who which requires a visa...the other two are fine (Or should be fine)

No. Only in France itself are they legally obliged to treat everyone the same.

Complain to Solvit that they are not providing "every facility to obtain a visa" and "on the basis of an accelerated procedure".
4- Why Spain and France do not recognize de-facto/un-married couples or British Residency card?
Because they don't have to.

You are wrong :-(

Anyway, my gf colleague walked to the Belgian Embassy. Asked for a visa, obtained a 30days single entry and took the eurostar flawless to paris....

She did not step a foot in paris...

I'm thinking on doing the same...

The Belgian Embassy would have issued a Schengen visa.
