Re-entry visa

Post by Njufigo » Wed Apr 10, 2019 10:12 pm

Hi All,
I have an emergency and I have to travel back home but I do not have an Irish re-entry visa. I have a stamp 4 based on Irish child.

Within this timeframe I cannot wait for the re-entry visa before I travel. What are my options if I travel without it. Will the immigration police let me back into the country upon my return?

Cheers .

Do you not have time to apply for an emergency visa?

If not, they will not let you back in. Chances are that the airline won’t even allow you to board the plane.

You could go back to your home country first, then mail your passport to your friend in Ireland and ask them to apply for the re-entry visa for you. When that’s done, ask them to send the passport back to you. It will take at least a month though.

Alternatively you can just apply for entry visa from the Irish embassy in your home country. It will equally take a few weeks.
