Labour Court

Hey lads I need your advice.
I work in a government sector entity.I have a dispute over the pay,after initial adjudication,my union is advising me to file appeal in Labour Court.
My application for naturalization is in progress,I wonder will Labour court proceedings delay my application?
If I don't appeal within 42 days,I may loose the right to appeal.
Please share your valuable experiences and advice.
