ILR SET(DV) APPLICATION - Processing Times

Post by FJBH » Tue Jul 24, 2018 12:55 pm

Hello,

I wanted to see if somebody has been in the same situation as me.
I have applied for the ILR SET(Domestic Violence).
I would like to see if you can share with me your processing times. The waiting time without a feedback from Home Office is a total nightmare.

My case:
10/07/2018: Application submited
23/07/2018: Biometrics letter received and biometrics taken the same day at the Post Office.

How long did you wait for your result (was it positive, negative?)

Thank you a lot!

F.

This is NOT a general ILR topic. This topic is ONLY for ILR based on Set DV - Domestic Violence!!

Hello there,
I applied on 27 March,2018 and biometrics were done in first week of May but didn’t hear anything after that.
I was expecting my ILR by Christmas but it didn’t happen and then I assure that I’ll get in January this year and again nothing heard from them.
I know these cases take longer than normal cases(6 months frame) but I think it’s too much wait for me as I’m about to complete a year for my ILR approval/application outcome.
Could you please suggest that what course of action should I take now as if I write letter to them,I will get a copy paste reply, nothing else.
I’m looking for a new job and planning some holidays overseas, but I don’t have passport to do so and it’s not possible to convince the employer to offer me a job without passport/biometric visa.

Hi,

I just submitted my documents and Biometrics on Monday 13th and paid for the 24 hour super priority service. It is now Thursday 16th and I haven’t heard anything but a calling card from DX courier was left at my house as I wasn’t it. Would it be possible for them not to send any notification and just deliver my BRP?

Thanks,

Jaki

Hello, Everyone

Yes, it is Hell having to go through all this waiting without any communication. I applied for ILR(DV) on March 26th, did the biometrics a few weeks later, and nothing since then. My daughter and I are in a bad place which we can't easily deal with because of the restrictions surrounding me. The abuse still goes on even if the HO takes forever. We can't easily move out or onward. Being without my passport for an "indefinite" amount of time means that I am trapped here. I can't leave the country for my work or to see my family....and we pay ca. £2,400 for this service....They have the technology to calculate average speeds on motorways, tell if you have paid the tax on your vehicle, and facial recognition but...can they process these higher priority applications in a timely manner. Nope....

I will let you all know when and if anything comes through.

Hangin' in there in the meantime.....

Please let me know.

Thank you once again.
