From Tier 2 ICT Dependent visa to Tier 2 General visa

Post by Rashmi01 » Wed Jun 12, 2019 9:09 pm

Hi,
I am currently on Tier 2 ICT dependent visa and working in a company as full time employee. My employer is ready to sponsor Tier 2 general visa. In regards to above scenario I have couple of questions
1. Do I need to go out of country(UK) to move from Tier 2 ICT dependent visa to Tier 2 General visa?
2. After getting my Tier 2 general visa if I get promoted to different designation then do my employer need to sponsor new visa or my employer can just do visa amendment?

1. Yes, you need to go back and apply from your home country.

2. if the SOC code which was mentioned while allocating the COS remains the same, and you just move higher in the role with additional responsibilities, no need for a new visa. Employer can update UKVI through the system of such changes.
