ILR Super Priority Service Payment and Appointment

Hi,

I’m currently on a Tier 2 General visa and am planning on applying for ILR when eligible to do so. I wanted your guidance on the date that I’m able to submit my ILR application, as I’m not completely clear on this after reading policy.

My Tier 2 UK entry clearance is valid from 30/10/14 to 29/11/19 (5 years and 1 month). I entered the UK on my Tier 2 visa on 09/11/14.

I believe that I’m able to make my ILR application 28 days before the end of my 5 year qualifying period. What I want to know is which of the above dates should be used (i.e. 28 days before 30/10/19 or 09/11/19 or 29/11/19).

You can apply no sooner than within 28 days before the 5th anniversary of your initial visa issue date and if you meet all the requirements.

The date of application is the date you submit and pay online.

In my opinion 28 Days before 9/11/2019.

It counts from visa ISSUED date and NOT date of ENTRY!!!

Hi,

I'm currently on a Tier 2 visa and am applying for ILR when eligible to do so around 03-Oct-19.

I've completed my ILR application on visas-immigration.service.gov.uk and am up to the payment stage where I pay the £3.2K for Super Priority Service.

A couple of questions that I have are;
1. Should I pay the fee now or is it too soon given it is 2 months away?
2. Will I be able to amend my application after completing the payment stage?
3. The date of my application needs to be no more than 28 days before the end of my 5 year qualifying period. Is the date of my application here my biometrics appointment date that I choose?
4. If I pay the application fee now when will the October appointments become available?

You cannot apply now if you don't meet the requirement of 'within 28 days of the 5th anniversary of the initial visa issued date'. You don't qualify to apply online yet.

2. Will I be able to amend my application after completing the payment stage?

No you won't. Once submitted you cannot edit the form.

3. The date of my application needs to be no more than 28 days before the end of my 5 year qualifying period. Is the date of my application here my biometrics appointment date that I choose?

Again, the date of application is the date you SUBMIT and PAY ONLINE and not your appointment date.

4. If I pay the application fee now when will the October appointments become available?

You will be applying too early and will risk a refusal and lose the fee you have paid.

Thank you. So if I want to secure an appointment for 03-Oct-19 which is the date that I am eligible to make my ILR, when should I process the payment on the website so I can book my appointment?

You cannot apply online when you are not within the 28 days qualifying period, so if you want the 3rd of October, that is the date you apply online, submit and pay and then book the appointment based on availability.
