Biometric Appointment for UKVCAS in London

Hi,

I saw a notice on Online Application form that there might be delays to get the appointments .
We are currently experiencing high demand for appointments for our UK Visa and Citizenship Service Centres which means you may have to wait longer than usual for an available appointment.
So, I'm wondering what's the earliest appointment you can get for free in London?

Next day appointment is normally available with £100 extra fee. Is it still the case under this kind of high workload?
