Naturalisation - Date of first arrival in the UK

Post by eduleal » Wed Dec 04, 2019 2:34 pm

Hi all,

Applying for naturalisation following 12 month ILR following 5 years on Tier 2.
However, before all of that qualifying period, I was also a Masters student in the UK with a Tier 4 visa. I understand that period didn't qualify for the 5 year period (i.e. been here 7 years total)

In the application form, I came across the question "When did you first arrive in the UK?"

Should I respond with:
- 1. September 2012 - date I physically first arrived for my Tier 4 period
- 2. December 2013 - date I received my Tier 2 visa, thus starting the qualifying period.

My assumption is to just directly respond the question with Option 1, but just checking whether anyone know if that would be somehow incorrect?

Many thanks in advance
