Proof of Funds for Post Study Work Visa

Post by Sara Gee » Sat Sep 06, 2008 9:17 pm

Hello

My husband is going to apply his Post Study Work Visa in mid November 2008 and me and my daughter will apply as his dependants. I want to know that can I (dependant) show my bank statement as proof of funds for all of us? Secondly, should the bank statement only be of a UK bank or can we show statement of Pakistani bank as well?

Dependent cannot show evidence of funds for the main applicant from an individual account (in dependent's name). But a joint account (main applicant + spouse) can be used to show evidence of funds for either one or both (main + dependent).

As long as the money can be transferred to UK, country where you hold the money (funds) is immaterial.

Read Tier 1 (Post-study work) policy guidance and Tier 1 (dependent) policy guidance for more details.
