ILR Application for a 17 years old Child Born Abroad and Still Living Abroad

Post by chuck2020 » Wed Feb 10, 2021 11:19 am

Please i need a guidance in steps to take in regards to my daughter who i intend to apply for ILR to bring her to the United Kingdom.
I was recently granted ILR and i am in the process of making application for her to come and join me here in UK. She is 17 years old and currently living abroad. I am not sure if its dependant application or ILR i should make and the right application form to use including the requirements.

Please can you guide me on the following:

1) As an ILR holder what kind of application can i make to bring my 17 year old daughter to UK?

2) What is the correct application form to use for this application?

3)What are the key requirements including financial if any?

4)Can i submit the application here or is the from the country where she is based?

I will really appreciate your help in answering these questions to enable me make this application.
Thank you

Her mother is late since 2018 and she has never been to the UK before she died.

Can I ask why you didn't bring her to the UK before as your dependent?

When does she turn 18?

This one below.
Apply separately
Which form you need to fill in depends on whether your parent has leave to enter or remain in the UK on a 5 or 10-year route to settlement as the partner of:

a British or Irish citizen
a person with indefinite leave to remain
a person settled in the UK - for example, they have indefinite leave to remain, settled status or proof of permanent residence
a person from the EU, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein who has pre-settled status - they must have started living in the UK before 1 January 2021
a person with a Turkish Businessperson visa or Turkish Worker visa
a person with refugee status or humanitarian protection
If they do, you must fill in the Appendix FM online form.

If they do not, you must fill in both:

the online application form
the Appendix 1 paper form
