Child Born Outside UK to ILR Parents

just wondering if this forum could offer some help please on Immigration.

Me ( British citizen approved 9th Nov 2020 & ceremony was held 2nd Feb 2021). and my wife currently hold UK ILR. We went to Sri Lanka in the march 2020 and she was made to stay for longer period due to pregnant and couldn’t travel in the covid 19 travel restrictions. I comeback in June 2020. Baby born 10th Dec 2020 in sri Lanka.

home office advising he not getting automatic citizenship because of my ceremony held after he born.

Can you please advise which visa I can apply for him?
Any maintenance fund requirement need to show.
