Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
I have one more question please.
I applied UC on May 2018 and told about wife's visa status and then they sent me the following letter.
Dear Mrs XXXX,
We're writing to tell you that unfortunately you're not entitled to Universal Credit.
This is because you have no recourse to public funds; subsequently we have
decided that you do not meet the requirements for the right to reside test so for
benefit purposes only you're not considered to be habitually resident in the UK.
This means that you are treated as not being in Great Britain. Therefore, you
do not have any entitlement to Universal Credit at this time.
If your circumstances change, you can make a new benefit claim. You can do this
online at
www.gov.uk/universal-credit.
Question In Form: Do you or anyone else who is part of this application receive any public funds?(Required)
Include details for your partner or child if you have one. Examples of public funds include Income Support, Child Benefit, Housing Benefit, Council Tax Benefit, Carer’s Allowance and Disability Living Allowance. See a full list
Answer: Yes or No
If i look into the letter that describe that my wife is not entitled so can I select Yes option.
Please advise?
Regards
Gohar
