my e-vetting was completed on the 15th of Nov and approval(certificate) arrived on 17th of Dec.
p.s. I sent my IRP back to them.
Could you please tell us when you applied for citizenship?

Hi can you please answer this question as it will be a great help. You said after eveting you communicate with the department and they send you a link to pay the fees etc...my question is how did you communicate to them? As I.have sent them emails and no reply whatsoever.

:x hi all...i think its mandatory for every applicant to be garda vet...and best of my understanding its very last stage before application is ready for submission.

My application got into system in 2018 and in 2021, I had to put for garda vetting which was viewed in September 2021, however complete silence since then.

Moreover I didn't see anyones approval without online vetting since garda vetting become mandatory.
Hi there, did your vetting disclosed or still waiting? Do you have any criminal records? I see it's strange to wait long time
Kind regards

Hi,

I applied with a solicitor so they communicated but they probably sent the email to same email is public for everyone I guess. However, I saw your other post, I am not sure if I understood well. First your application for citizenship should be granted and then you pay the fee and as the last step you do e-vetting to get your certificate. So if your application is still in process of being granted then probably you need to wait for that first.

Hello Ashdublin
My situation is similar to yours,I applied July 2019, Received e vetting invitation letter on 6 of December,Signed and returned on 7 of December, still waiting for e vetting by email, Its around too weeks ,What do you advice me please.
No worries.
Scanned copy of the biometric page of current passport.
Scanned copy of front and back of your current in-date IRP/GNIB card or a scanned copy of your in-date permission stamp in your passport.
No, they didn't ask to send back original GNIB card.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Which year you were absent from the state for more than 6 weeks? It was before or after you applied for citizenship?
I used 2014-2019 as reckonable residence to apply for citizenship and I was out more than 6 weeks in 2016.

Just curious , you got the evetting request before getting approval ? Is it normal ?

I though, ISD do the Garda check internally and don’t need applicants to request for evetting for the application received in 2020, am I wrong ?

Some people who applied in 2020 are asked to do eVetting. Approval comes after eVetting is completed.

Received e-vetting invitation form today. A little confused about if they require a copy of passport or other ID documentation to be sent back with this? Letter doesnt mention it but the guidelines included state "all applicants will be required to provide documents to validate their identity. "

I'm also confused as to which address this form should be sent and is it worth doing so by recorded delivery?

Can anybody help clarify? Thanks so much
