No recourse to public fund to recourse to public fund 10 Year Route

Post by smir » Tue Apr 26, 2022 7:08 pm

Hello all

Is this true that the applicant who has 10 year Route visa / EHRC applicants who have no recourse to public fund can apply to transfer their status to Recourse to public fund ?

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... ces-change

Eligibility
You’re eligible to apply for a change of conditions if:

you have leave to remain under the 10 year partner, parent or private life route, where the applicant claims that refusal of that application for leave to remain would breach their rights (or the rights of other specified persons) under ECHR Article 8 (the right to respect for private and family life)
you have leave to remain on the basis of other ECHR right

Please throw some light please

I'm not sure how that will help your finances? There is no welfare benefit anymore (in the UK) for "so only one can work and other can look at the family.".

Under the welfare reforms (that stated on their way over a decade ago) both parents are required to work to keep their children.
