Its so annoying to have error message still after the document has been arrived

Error message is:

The application number entered does not exist in our database. Please enter your passport application number again.

Even 2 days ago i chat with an agent and he confirmed my document arrived on 22nd of June.

Same thing happened to me but on third working day it started appearing in tracker. I called them once and chatted on web twice before it started showing up, so keep on following with them until it appears

I tried to read the thread but I got confused now, could someone please, tell :

For first time passport application based on naturalisation and resident in Ireland, do we have to submit original passport of home country or certified copy will work ?

Thank you very much .

Is it normal to have your application as "We have received your application. You must submit your supporting documents to proceed with the application." for a while even though you submitted everything or should I start to prepare myself mentally to try to get a hold of someone on the web chat?

People who submitted their application after me are already in processing stage.

How many days it's been? It took 2 days for mine to change status to verifying docs.

Will they accept certified copy of passport data page from applicant resident in Ireland? I won't be able to send my original passport in because i need to travel in August, and i don't want to risk it because my Irish passport may not be ready before August. So, not sure if they will accept copy of passport certified by Garda?

As you can see in this topic a lot of people including me sent a certify copy of the passport. Some of those received the Irish passport without any problem. In my case I am still too early in the process to know if will be successful. But so far nobody has written complaining that they ask for the original passport.

At the end is up to you if you want role the dices and see if you are lucky.

I will to that tomorrow, its really annoying.

Btw when i checked the timeline on the other post, i found its takes like 5 to 8 days to reflect in the system for most applications.

Sent on Tuesday, they got the documents on Wednesday according to the an post tracking. What bothers me is that this status is very ambiguous since I sent everything together. How come they have my application but not my supporting documents? I'll wait tomorrow to see if something changes otherwise gonna have to try to reach someone in that chat, which seems to be very hard.

I just hope this is not another nightmare like the citizenship.

That is just standard until they start processing your documents. In a few days time the status will change to Processing (and verifying) on the tracker

I sent everything on the 21st oj June. Today 27th of June still not update in my status... 5 working days so far. Everything in Ireland is a nightmare. When I got my driving licence last year it took 6 weeks to send me the physical card.. This country is a no sense from any angle you try to look at it.

Managed to talk to someone on the web chat (Just went to the website at 9am sharp and kept refreshing, at 9:02 became green, when I connected I was the 17 on the queue). They confirmed they received my application with the documents last week and everything is proceeding normally but it might take some time for the tracker to update itself.

Hi all , please advise I noticed my tracker has not made much movement since last Wednesday, i can see the time updates no problem but it doesn’t seem to progress. Also I have been on verifying documents since the 08/06. The tracker is on about 60% has there been reported issues with it ?
I applied on the 23/05 with ETA of 08/07.

Thank you :-)

Same mine is at about 60% and ETA is 08/07 as well. Hopefully it will change from verifying to processing by end of this week🤞 it's been on verifying since 10/06.

How long does it take for the anpost tracking to work? I'm still getting the message on their tracking website "We don't have information on your parcel yet". I handed it to the post office yesterday afternoon and even got a receipt from them (they scanned it to generate the receipt). I'm anxious if my originals in the documents such as my current passport & Naturalisation don't get lost

It shouldn't take more than a day from anpost to show up your tracking details. After 24hs if you don't see anything call them.

This is incorrect. It could take a few days for it to show up, even though it could be as fast as the next day. Feel free to take a look at the Passport First Time Passport Application Timelines - 2022 Discussion.

When you get your citizenship certificate, you IRP card is automatically cancel? Can you travel abroad and come back using your home country passport and IRP card? Or you need to get your irish passport in order to be able to return.
Has anybody travel after getting the citizenship with the home country passport and IRP card? If you could, your country passport need a Visa for Ireland?

I think you had to send in your IRP up until covid times with the 950 euro fee, hence I would assume it is not valid.
ISD wants you to apply for a single entry visa if you wish to travel, but that's quite a challenge.
In theory, since there's no freely accessible option to check your IRP online, you can try to carry it with you and board the flight to Ireland if it's still in date, but not sure if that'll be accepted on Irish border.
