How early can I apply for Visa Extension.

Hi, My Skilled worker visa is expiring in mid-February. I have to travel for my wedding in January. and I have to apply for my dependent visa as well.

My question is how early can i get COS for an extension of my visa, Can i get it in mid-October so that my BRP can arrive by the time I have to travel and have plenty of time to apply for my partner's dependant visa as well so we can travel to the UK in mid-January together.

You can only apply for the dependent visa once you are married.

Presumably your partner will apply from abroad, so unlikely they will have a visa in a very short timeframe.

You can apply for an extension as you plan.

We are already legally married and all paperwork is done, this is just a ceremony now.

My employer told me I can't apply for an extension until mid-December, as they can't apply for COS before 60 days. just wanted clarification regarding this, so I can ask them again to apply for COS, they have already renewed my contract.

Just for clarification- does your employer have a COS to assign in hand at the moment. If they have not then they better apply immediately as it can take up 18 weeks to acquire additional COS.
