I am sorry I use this website on my idiot-phone and the tiny screen hampers typing :) I meant I applied for a passport on the 10th of may and received it today on the 27th.

@ Nanette. Yes I checked it atleast 10 times :). I have been waiting for it for 12 years :). I am going to put it to use immediately. Does anyway know what is timeframe for getting naturalisation approval for spouses of Irish citizens (naturalised). I applied for my wife last year (Sept.09) and wondering whether her application will be in the same queue of regular applications and will it be fasttracked.

Also, what documents, I will be asked furnished once her application comes for review.

Regards
I am a spouse of an Irish citizen (by birth not naturalisation) and have a 5 years old Irish daughter. Applied in April 2008 and the latest update is that it is ongoing which makes it over the average even. Believe me the system is an absolute baloney. When it suits them they will say to applicants who are not spouses that they are over the average to expedite the applications of spouses, refugees and minors but when spouses enquire about delay they will never mention what they said earlier.
Absolute baloney!

Did they give you the reason for refusal.you are entitled for stamp 5 if you have completed 8 years with stamp 4.No need for cover letter.

Hi Guys,
Just to keep all of you informed/updated, I was asked by INIS last week to submit documents in order for them to further process my application of naturalisation.
The documents, I am submitting are as follows.

1. A Copy of my 2009 Paye Balancing Statement (P21).
2. Copies of my four most recent Payslips covering last two months.
3. Copies of my bank statements covering last three months.
4. My Birth Affidavit.
5. My Marriage Affidavit.
6. Original Social Welfare Report.
7. Copy of my P60 form of 2009.
8. A letter from my Employer confirming my employment Status.
9. A copy of letter from INIS Department stating LTR granted to me.
10. Photostat copy of Certificate of Registration.
11. A copy of Utility Bill confirming my current address in Ireland.

Orginal letter recived by me from INIS asked for the first five documents listed above, however I am submitting more docs than they asked.
I applied in mid October 2008 on the basis of 5 year residency on working visa.
Guys, can you have a quick look to the list above to make sure I am submitting everything from my side and not forgetting any critical document.

Thanks and Regards
Jangs

Call Social Welfare ask for the record department
Tel: 01 704 3000
Request a letter for you stating whether you are in receipt of any social benefits. You need to have your PPS numbers ready when call.
