Visit Visa Minimum Savings

I have applied for visit visa, I got refusal for non sufficient funds for 4 family member, how much minimum funds needed for 20 days visit visa for 2 adults and 2 kids between 12-16 to assure visit visa?

I doubt there is a actual figure stated, but the amount the ECO is looking for will vary. Eg Is there free accommodation in a house (relative/friend), or are you paying for hotels?
