Urg Can dependant apply with own funds for tier1 depend visa

Is an applicant of tier 1 dependant visa allowed to apply with own funds as maintenance funds?

The policy guidelines does say that its allowed, but there is not much clarity on the rules, do's and dont's?

Does anybody have experience of filing a dependant visa with own funds?

Please help. I need to file mine on Monday.

I am assuming you mean the dependents funds. Yes they can.

Yes. U are correct. I mean funds lying in the dependant's account..
