Tier 1 general visa

Hi,
I am currently on a workpermit and i want to swap to a tier 1 general visa now. My visa expires on the 18 august 2011.Is it possible?

Hi,
I have been on this workpermit for 4 years now. So you mean that i can swap now , i don't have to wait until my visa expires to apply, as i won't be in the country when my visa expires.
