TIMELINE AFTER NATURALISATION APPLICATION SUBMISSION

My submission timeline.

NCS or Postal: NCS Special delivery
CRITERIA: one Adult and one child, 5 yrs WP/Tier+1yr ILR
Date of submission: 1 Dec 2010

Although it's only one week since my application, the application fee hasn't been taken from my bank account, and the track/trace of the special delivery shows the application package has been delivered from Warrington delivery office, which is close to the nationality group in Liverpool. From the forum, normally they would deduce the fee after a few days of submission. As I don't have reference letter, I couldn't call them. I'm a bit panic now.

I know the weather condition has been very bad from last week throught to this week, which would cause some delay. Apart from that, is there any other problem ? Thanks.

Give a bit update on my application.

I just got thru their enquiry line and it's said my application has arrived last Thursday but it would take up to 7 to 10 working days to clear up the payment this time. I guess there may be piles of backlog due to the bad weather last week. Also it seems that application via postal is faster than via NCS unless you don't need your travel documents with you. Is there anyone who submitted at the same time (1 Dec) via NCS and has already recieved the acknowlegement letter?

first of all - they sent it back to me so give them a bell and request it.
Second of all: you will need your original passport + naturalisation certificate.
Fill the form (available at the post offices), get the countersign, 2 pictures and just go back to the post office - they will check it for you (upon a small fee) and post it.

I had my interview this morning which took about 10 Mins. wow those guys have all infor about me u know. they even have my mum's name on the system cos she reveives some letters at mine phew do they work with experian or something?
Anyway here are the questoins:

1. Spell full name.
2. Date, place and country of birth.
3. date i became a British citizen
4. Supporting documents submitted for passport application.
5. Have supporting docs been received back and confirmation of delivery address?
6. Mother's full name, date and place of birth
7. Father's full name, date and place of birth
8. Name, profession and approx age. of counter signee
9. Name of Adults who lives with me?
10. Any other Adults (referring to previous names on the address i think? cos she gave me a clue: asking if anybody receives letters at my address)?
11. Do I have any credit agreements : Banks i bank with, Mortgage, Credit Cards.
12. Details of previous address.
13. How long have I lived in current address
14. What phone numbers did I put on the form?
15. How did I send the application?
16. Sign on an electronic pad.

I was told to wait 2-4 days for passport

Godd Afternoon,

You're nearly there ,would you mind telling us how did you book the interview? ( did they send you a letter? ) or have you done it over the phone?

Rang HO today and found that decision was made on 30th Nov,they told me decision letter was sent on Monday 6th Dec but still haven't received anything from them...can anyone advice is it normal coz it is quite fraustrating...... normally second class post is delievered within 3 days isn't it?

3-5 days
for referrence: my letter was sent on Friday and I got it the following Friday

I Call HO today

Regarding Life in UK Test certificate, they said that HO will keep this certificate in their files.

And invitation letter for Ceremony, is not sendout yet.

I called HO today and they told me that they are doing some external checks which may take some time..also they told me to call back again if its over 6month and you did not here anything from HO...

phoned and automated voice told me they can't give any update for application issued less than 6 month ago... service well below the par for £1k paid

which option guys do you chose to get to speak to human being?

Option 2 and then option 3... u will get the same standard reply from the operator..."we cant tell u anything unless application is 6 months old" but sometimes if you ask them very nicely than someone may tell u whats happening with ur app at the moment. Good luck

Yes I have received it today . I'm assuming you didn't use NCS so if u didn't then u should receive 2 letters i.e. approval an invitation letter separately.
I used NCS so thats why I got my invitation+Approval together today on the same letter. Hope this helps

got the approval letter. called Council for citizenship booking, gave me 10 min appointment on monday 4pm, after that they will give me the date of citizenship ceromony (public). regards.
