Application still in "forwarded to British High Commiss

Hi All,

I applied for tier 1 visa from Bangalore on December 16th. The status still says "Your application has been forwarded to British High Commission".

Wouldn't there be any status change once they have received the application?

Or is this the usual scenario?

As indicated by ParanoidAndroid, in this post, my application status moved from:

"The visa application received for processing at the British High Commission."

To:

"Visa application is under process at the British High Commission, Pretoria."

This change occured on about the 28th when I also got an SMS updating the status to this (I asked for the SMS notifications, which was an add-on I paid for). (To give you an idea, I applied on the 20th and submitted my documents on the 21st of December).

don't worry. Most likely the application is under process. My status never changed from 'forwarded to BHC' for over a month.

Maybe mine was forwarded for further scrutiny and the others will just fly through!!!

I think you should check with VFS, as mulderpf just received the update in status

I wouldn't stress about it - I believe that ParanoidAndroid's status also changed and skipped the status my application went into (skipped under process and went straight to forwarded to application centre).

That's correct--and like I said in my other thread, the VFS people seem to believe that the two statuses are pretty much the same as far as they're concerned...

please dont jump into conclusions, mulderpf applied from SA and not India

My status changed to "Your Application is being sent to the application center. Please wait until it is ready for collection."

Not sure what this means, as for others it says "Processed application". Probably I'm being too paranoid.. Just keeping my fingers crossed/

HI Agh,
Pls update your status,.
I submitted my application on 17 th Dec in Mumbai VFS.
My passport status is still in Process.

I am just waiting when my turn will be mine.

I have submitted on 6th of December from Hyderabad VFS. My status show that the application is still under process. The status changed to under process on 11th of December. There is no change in status after that.

Little tensed as the interim cap might get reached before my application gets processed.

Hi,
i applied for my child dependant visa on 25/6/2012 from lahore pakistan and the stauts is under process at british high commision.
i do not know why its taking so long, she was born in uk last year.
Has anyone got dependant visa recently please share your experience.
