How did you book for the ceremony? Did you receive the invitation letter? I’m asking because I got my approval on 17 June, but I haven’t received yet the invitation letter. I applied by post like you did.

Update

Finally had my ceremony yesterday. Some new citizens did not have their photo id and were sent back; the civil dignitary that was supposed to attend and preside over the event did not turn up so the deputy registrar conducted the ceremony

8 years 8 months and 11 days.......... now off to US in a few weeks time, will come back & apply for a British Passport as I will not be able to do it in 2 weeks time

I am also in a same timeslot as my app reached HO on 28th April. I hope we hear some positive news by end of this month.

Congratulations Bierebaron on receiving your approval. Youhave a couple of typo error in your message as I remember you applied the same day as me which is the 28th of April and money taken out around the same time, between 7th and 10th of May. So hopefully, I should be getting my brownie soon too!!!! [/quote]

Submission -NCS- 4-4-11 (AN joint and MN1)
Acknowledgement letter-we got 2 letters, but money was deducted 19-4-11
Approval-awaiting
ceremony-awaiting

For the first time I called UKBA yesterday, unfortunately I got an unfriendly lady at the other end. I asked her about the application (because we were told at the NCS that it takes just 6 weeks), and to my amazement she said that the timeline has an AVERAGE of 6months! (Of course I know better). I think she said that because our application was made over 3 months ago. She told me that the application is awaiting allocation! Anyway I have come to the conclusion that there is no point calling to them because they tell you whatever they want to. So I will keep waiting for my brown envelope , hope I don't have to wait for too long.

That's the generic answer everyone gets when you call and decision hasn't been made on your application. also from the timeline you gave as submitting on the 4th of April, calling them today and saying you applied more than 3months ago is wrong as your application will not be 3 months until the 4th of July! But rest assured your brownie is on the way, just be patient.

Just waited for the County Council to send me an invitation, you'll have your invitation letter very soon now... by the way Congrats on your approval.
