OCI acknowledgement

I sent OCI application for me and my son together , my file is still not acknowledged but my son file is acknowledged a week ago.
Is it normal ?? any one else had the same issue.

I am presumimg there are two different applications, its possible that they have been dealt with separately. Best to wait for another week before calling them.
