Hope you get the very good news soon. It is the time for me to say thank you and everyone for all the valuable advices. I would be very confused if you and other guys were not here.
I Applied 2 days ago, even 2 days has been so long for me so I know where you coming from. Lets hope you and those are still waiting get the fantastic news very soon.
Thanks buddy. I have been waiting for three and a half months now, I applied on 30th of October. I am slowly losing hope :?

You my very well have your approval before me, it appears that the UKBA processes most fresh applications within 3-5 weeks then puts some applications on ice. I have a feeling I am one of those now :(
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it...

Application Timeline
Eligibility criteria: Joint application 5 year + 1 year PR as non EEA family member of EEA national + MN1 for child+EEA3 for spouse
Method of application: 14/01/13 Postal
Date of receipt by UKBA:15/01/13 special delivery tracked
payment:chq
Date of debit of fees:2/04/13(showed on bank account on 8/4/13)
Date of receipt of acknowledgement:6/4/13 (dated 2/4/13)
Date of receipt of approval:04/5/13(dated 1/5/13) came in the special delivery envelop i sent with the documents
Date of Ceremony: tbc

according to UKBA website we automatically obtained permanent residence 14 months ago,so we didnt send application for confirmation then.we did sent EEA3 for spouse this time ,thinking will be easier that way to prove spouse's treaty rights for my application.
However
have been 5 weeks now and no acknowlegment letter received or payment deducted ,is it common? i sent email and got the usual email stating may take up to 6 weeks to receive confirmation of application but i wondering as even payment hasnt been taken yet!!

UPDATES: been waiting for around 8-10 weeks for application acknowlegment letter! i sent UKBA 2 letters regarding the letter and guess what? Praise the Lord last week they sent spouse EEA3 certificate and this week my acknowlegement letter!!i dont know if my letters did something but i m more sure they took time to start my application because they were processing my spouse EEA3 first.they said they kept all the supporting docs sent for eea3 application for my naturalisation process.so i m quite pleased at moment :D

It is not common but it does happen, here is a recent example of payment not being processed for more than 4 weeks

Ask for a Private Ceremony. However, it will cost you some money.

the only caveat is that you need to contact local authority for arranging the ceremony within 21 days of issuing the approval letter
I am in the same boat as emmigrator123, same application 10 year + 1 Year ILR. Though I applied through solicitor on 10 Dec 2012, passport returned on 20 Dec 2012. I too will be leaving the country at the end of the month for my new job :) but :( sadness as I would need to pay for a ticket to come back for a day to just take the oath. Ah I hope I hear something soon so I can arrange a urgent private ceremony. Fajr Thanks for the info of 21 days I did not know about that and congrats (mubarak) on your approval.

you will have to pay £100 for a private ceremony if you need to bring it forward. That's what i will have to pay on my ceremony day.

i have refrees to sign my application one is sub post master( is it a professional standing?) and other is director of a limited company. i shall be greatful if some one help me here.
As far as i know you need to wait for another 12 months from the date of ILR. It says clearly on UKBA and also when you will ring local council to book for an NCS appointment their first question would be the same regarding duration for ILR.

Hope it will help.

Thanks

thank u very much furqan. but its clear in naturalization application booklet about immigration time restriction
(4. IMMIGRATION TIME RESTRICTIONS
If you are married to or the civil partner of a British citizen, you will need to be free from immigration time restrictions on the date you make your application.
If you are not married to or the civil partner of a British citizen you should have been free of immigration time restrictions during the last 12 months of the 5 year qualifying period. Usually there is a stamp or sticker in your passport saying that you have indefinite leave to enter or remain or no time limit on your stay. But you may have a letter from the Home Office saying that you are free from immigration conditions. If you do not have a passport or letter which says this and you have lived here many years you may still be free from an immigration time r
estriction.
)
this is the link http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitec ... ide_an.pdf
if i am quoting wrong plz correct me as i am not an expert. only trying get some good help and advice.

HI INCYWINCY, You can apply for Naturalization any time after 17 February 2013. You need to reside in the UK only for 3 years if you married to BC and dont have to wait 1 year after ILR.

Hi chrisrich and vsh,
Congrats to both of you.
You guys have applied on 28th or 29th Jan and got approval on 15th feb i.e. just over 2 weeks. That's really amazing - UKBA is doing a great job. Is this the time, they are taking on average or yours are done in exceptionally less time?

Is this an approval letter. I though documents are first returned and then both approval and invitation come at the same time.
