Thanks Alish60 buddy, next week I will complete 3 months and start my 4th month of waiting. You are more likely to have your approval by the first week of March than me in all honesty, UKBA are turbo procesing fresh applications now, as long as your don't slip through the net, you should be ok

I, well and truly moved on now, the approval comes when it comes. Today, I treated myself to a chocolate pudding at the Haagen Dazs in Leicester Square 8)
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it...

Probably, UKBA has just installed their own Letter Template Engine which is undergoing testing and as a result they are generating as many letters as they can. That's why they send approval letter first and sends another letter informing the ceremony date.

can some one give me contact number i can call...thanks
Sometimes they block the money in your account but can take a week for it to be taken out of your account, see if the fund is not "available" in your account. my fee was in my account for 9 days but for the last 7 days was not available to be spend.maybe same thing happened to yours, but overall do not get panic, they will not forget about the money, I guarantee that. Good Luck to your Mrs.

My council is offering a ceremony date of 17th April, which is about 2 months from now. Is there any alternative to do it quicker - except private ceremony - like going to a different council etc.

I got exactly the same letter before yesterday. It's just confirmation and nothing else. Don't worry about it.
