I notice some of you applied 3 months before your permits expire. If I knew that was acceptable (couldn't gauge how early UK BA considers as too early), I would've applied mine earlier. :(

But it's true what globalgypsy said about the difference in time frames now. I know of someone who applied late November and got hers beginning of January. That was roughly 4-5 weeks, from submitting online to getting her BRP, and with all those holiday dates and holiday mail in between too. It's driving me mental waiting for mine that's taking longer than I expected based on her estimates.
did you got your passport ?? i am also did biometric on same date and still waiting
does any one got passport , who done bio materic after 25 of Jan ??

Congratulations! I know your passport was returned on the 19th but was there a different data of approval? It seems tha they used to send a letter indicating decision, but are now sending it all together. In consequence taking longer to know decision! Baffling. Anyway, congrats again :D

Hello all, this thread has been very useful to me while i've been waiting for my visa to be processed so i thought i'd contribute. My visa came today and I of course like many of you ecstatic, albeit it for the fact i was meant to start work 3 weeks ago! Better late than never.

1. Type of application: (Switching / Extending) Extending
2. If switching, category changing (switching)
3. Date of expiry of current leave: 28.FEB.2013
4. Number of dependants applying at same time: none

7. Date payment debited: 29/12/2012
8. Payment mode : Credit card
9. Acknowledgement letter received: No
10. Biometric letter received: 21 Jan 2013
11. Date of biometrics enrolment: 23 Jan 2013
12. Date of approval: 19/02/13
13. Date of return of passport and other documents: 21/02/13
15. Date BRP received: 21/02/2013

So like the previous poster said it looks like they are posting the letter and passports out together as it all came in the same envelope. Of course, i'm happy now, but like most of you i'm sure i've been climbing the friggin walls the last few weeks! don't give up hope. Good luck everyone!

Haven't got mine yet either. Has anyone tried ringing UK BA? I know it's like talking to a brick wall, but this is really just ridiculous now.

Was it passport, BRP and letter together? I have to say I have been absolutely despondent this whole week, cannot concentrate at work at all and my already short patience/temper was even shorter, but your post is quite encouraging!

:).. i got approved this time. and bit of information for everyone.. working hour is not strict, my company reduced my working week to 35hour and added an extra week unpaid leave in a year to maintain that pro rata hourly pay on a low annual payment and here I'm .. with VISA. Gonna get it Monday

Hi Guys, just to let you know this is the second time I'm applying, last time it got rejected due to inappropriate hourly pay (annual salary). It was in June 2012. It might be a reason for delay this time.

How do you apply for Priority Postal Application ? Is that something that only your sponsor can do it for you?

Not yet. I did mine on 23rd Jan. It is taking really long!
did you got it ?
