Hi members, I have been doing voluntary in a school for some months, likely enough the head offered me a job.

I don't know what to do as I have no valid work permit. I have to present every thing in Sep, ie work permit bank, details. what can I do and it is not easy to get a professional job, esp if you did not study in the uk

I was thinking of contacting Rob, but he is no longer in charge of individual cases, any help plse.

@sarahassy when is your hearing? write to the tribunal and explain your situation and also make them award of the job offer and ask them how urgent ur hearing will be for attaining that job and how it will support you and ur british child since money is not coming from anywhere and that u been the sole carer to the child will ease off ur burdens. so write to them or write and fax to 08707394055.

was that zambrano application? It might have been a mistake to refuse u with no right to appeal.

We have joined that club... Although, we are still waiting for a date for the appeal from when DWP refused to pay Income Support at a couples rate back in november when I was unable to work...

Apparently the forms were sent to the tribunal service on 2nd May, and the details are still not loaded onto the system... (the service said the backlog of 10 weeks is just post, the initial loading is even longer!)

I'd assume the same is true for IAFT-1's too.

We are all praying for you Kofi, fingers, legs, toes and eyes all crossed ;)

I would love to come to court to see how they act (esp the HO PO's), but Social Services are coming round at 11am.

Can you take lots of notes etc and share what happens etc (the kind of questions asked, and so on... the manner of the PO and all that...)

and obviously the judge and all :)

It might take up to 3-4weeks to get the appeal decision, it is normally sent via post. But the main issue is if the judge accepts d article 8 aspect of zambrano. But kofi can tell us how it went generally.

Perhaps the judge is still deciding?

The judge didnot address the article 8 issue because he didnot have a clue wat zambrano was.I have posted a new topic on wat happened in court yesterday. The HOPO didnot addresss the zambrano but was confusing it with chen  She was directing the judge not to consider article 8 because they had not issue a removal notice. The judge was so confused and was so much focused on the zambrano,he didnt touch on the article 8 issue
