Tracing OCI Status

Post by lostinoci » Tue Jul 02, 2013 6:24 am

Hello

I have not found much info regarding this in the Netherlands. After a lot of issues, i finally managed to file an application at BLS India in the Netherlands.

They are officially collecting applications in the NL on behalf of the Indian embassy.

When i try to look for status on the website of the Indian government,

https://passport.gov.in/oci/statusEnqury

I get the information

OCI Status Enquiry is available only for the Applications which are submitted at Indian Missions

I check the BLS site, and i get the status "Processing at the embassy"

Anybody in the same situation as me . Calling the Indian embassy will not help and calling the BLS also. Phones will not be answered.

I dont have acknowledgment numbers. All i have is a BLS reference number.

Cheers

It seems the status updates in NL is bit different than in the UK. Here, the first update is Acknowledgement (when the documents are actually processed by the HCI, not the date of receipt) followed by other updates

Date of acknowledgement - dd - mon - yyyy
OCI Number is - initially Blank and then Axxxxx
Document Printing Status - UNDER PROCESS [then changes to PROCESSED] on [ dd - mon - yyyy]
Dispached From MOIA(OCI) New Delhi - on dd - mon - yyyy
Documents Received at LONDON on dd - mon - yyyy

Hi

A Quick update of my status updates. Not sure if there are any body from the NL applying for a OCI

I applied around the 15th June,

Applicant Name XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
File Acknowledgment Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Date Of Acknowledgment 21-AUG-2013
Registration Status at Mission THE HAGUE
OCI- Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
Documents Printing Status PROCESSED On 25-SEP-2013
Dispatched From MOIA (OCI ) NEW DELHI On
Document received At THE HAGUE On

Atleast there is a Number and a printing date.

Keeping fingers crossed, should have just applied for a visa to visit family.

Cheers

On a similar boat. I completed the online application which provided a GBRLNXXX reference number and I posted the application to HCI London on 24th Sep 2013. When I try and use the online status enquiry page I get a record not found message.

How long does it take for the information to be available online for tracking. What is this acknowledgement and is this posted back to me by HCI. London?

Its strange, The online status still says its not received at the Hague, NL

But I checked with BLS and they confirmed that the document is indeed in the NL and i can get it this week.

Online status are off by a week / more than a week. They are not realtime, like someone scanning a document code and its updated automatically.

Hope this helps some one in finding the timeline

One last step to go for getting the OCI

Got my OCI booklet today. End of a journey.

No queues at Rotterdam. Walk in and walk out in 5 minutes. ONly the timing was not handy, you can get your booklet only between 1200 and 1300
