Reference (no phone number)

Post by adam.sniady » Sat Jan 18, 2014 12:22 am

My friend did not put his phone number on the references. I ask him and he said he forgot and I should add it myself. Can I write it myself on the form or should I go and ask him to do that?

I guess you can.
When I was applying for my son's passport using post office check and send, my referee forgot to put how she knew us. The lady at the till gave it back to me insisting that I should take it back to the referee. I simply went back to the office, got an identical pen and wrote it as closely as possible to the referees handwriting. I then took it back later the same day and my son has his passport now.

I also remember that she also sent me her passport number by text and I just put it on the form.

I think you can.

I don't see why it would be a problem.

If there was any doubt by the assessor, they would just call the referee themselves and confirm they are legit.

If further clarification is needed from your referees they will write to them..anyway...

I think it should be ok. Because if they have any doubt they could contact the referee anyway.
