Process for applying British Citizenship for a child born abroad

Post by Bobsylicious » Mon Apr 01, 2019 10:08 am

Hi there,

Good day. I hope you are well as of this writing. I have one scenario which I would like please to share and get your insights about it.

If both non British parents have their ILR for 12 months then they can apply for British citizenship by naturalisation. What will happen now to the British citizenship application of their child/children born outside the UK but been in the UK for 12 years and a holder as well of ILR?

Can the child below 18 years of age apply for British citizenship along with their parents?

I'll appreciate please getting your insights on how to proceed please having this kind of a predicament.

Thanks and regards,

Children born abroad can apply when EITHER parent applies OR once EITHER parent is already British.

Yes.
