Hello!
I am in the process of gathering the required documentation for my husband.I will be applying on the basis of using savings to satisfy the financial requirement. My savings are with Oaknorth who are a UK registered bank and FCA approved.
The requirements for the format of bank statements are as below:
(1) on official bank stationery; or
(2) electronic bank statements which are either accompanied by a letter from the bank on its headed stationery confirming that the documents are authentic or which bear the official stamp of the issuing bank on every page.
I have contacted Oaknorth to get stamped copies or to provide a letter to confirm the authenticity of the online statements but they have refused to supply either:
"We can confirm that as we are a digital bank, we do not send any postal correspondence. We are also unable to provide you with a printed copy of your bank statement as well as a letter to verify its authenticity.
We therefore kindly ask that you download a copy of your bank statement in Online Banking for your Easy Access Cash ISA account."
I know there is a risk of sending only the online copy with no authentication, but what can I do about this situation?
