PSW DEPENDANT TO TIER1 GENERAL DEPENDANT

seniors advice pleaseeeee..

Hi,

I am currently a PSW dependent valid until 25TH march 2013. my wife agian applied tier1 general yesterday and got it. she applied alone and i didn't MAKE AN APPLICATION TOGETHER.

so now she got tier 1 general and will get a NEW BRP card.
I am her dependent with tier 1 psw dependant and she is in tier1 general. by what time i need to apply and change over to tier 1 general dependant.

My question is

1.IS THERE ANY TIME LIMIT THAT I NEED TO SWITCH OVER WITHIN SPECIFIED TIME PERIOD.

2.CAN I CONTINUE WITH MY CURRENT STATUS AND DO IT TOGETHER WHEN EXTENDING THE TIER1 GENERAL VISA IN 2013 BECAUSE THE DIFFERENT IS JUST MATTER OF 10 DAYS BETWEEN PSW AND TIER1 GENERAL.

1. as per the current UKBA policy , There is no time limit

2 .you can do it together as per the current UKBA policy. However, your PSW visa wont count towards your ILR

Just one more question.

While travelling can the immigration people will make this as an issue becoz the main applicant is in Tier 1 General but dependant is under the old visa tier 1 PSW.

You HAVE TO STRICTLY switch your dependent status to Tier 1 general dependant within 28days otherwise you will be illegal after this time period. Dear friend you are post study dependent....OK....Who is post study holder at the moment???...NOBODY...She is Tier 1 G.......This is my personal experience and moreover these were the words of senior Immigration officer at PEO appointment. PLEASE SWITCH ASAP......

Dear friend.....I dont mind if you dont believe me. You will soon be illegal and get ready for appeal. Call UKBA and confirm .....Then you will definitely be thankful to me....I am so confident about this. HONESTLY DONT WASTE TIME.....Call UKBA now....

I believe that you remain legal unless your leave is curtailed (323) or expires or you're subject to removal. However, if you travel, then you may be refused entry because your circumstances have changed (321).

That said, to be safe, you should probably switch as soon as possible.

I have extended my leave as a Tier 1 (G) Dependent and now planning to apply for ILR on the basis of 10 years Long Residence next month.

I am still worried whether they can reject my application based on my previous deception.

Can they refuse Long Residence on General grounds (deception).

Can you please help. Have been here for over 11 years and was eligible for LR last year but didn't apply because I was afraid of getting rejected as I had PSW through CCL.

I am planning to apply for ILR based on 10 year LR category as my solicitor says that I have extended my visa 3 times after that PSW as a dependent plus one entry clearance as dependent. Hence they don't have anything against me in their systems and if they had then they would have declined my dependent application. Also he says that he never heard of anyone getting rejected in LR application because of previous application deception which issue was never questioned/raised. Can HO refuse my Long residence on general ground (deception) because of my PSW through CCL college in 2008. Can they curtail my current dependent visa?

Below is my timeline.

6 years student
2 years PSW
3 years dependent (Tier 1)
