Irish Citizenship by association for children

Post by trustworthy » Wed Jul 15, 2020 12:21 am

Hy all,

I would be grateful if some could help me in following matter.
I and my wife got Irish Citizenship by naturalisation whilst living in Dublin. Our 4 children, like us, are British citizen and all are under 12. We did not apply for their Irish Citizenship whilst living Dublin. We moved to Belfast and now want to apply for Irish Citizenship for our children. By going through the application form I am bit confuse that which school detail do we need to provide?
Please advise what documents would be rwquired.
Your help and support will be much appreciated.

query regarding citizenship application

Hy every body,
We require advise in following matter. It would be appreciated if one could advice us regarding Irish citizenship for Minor by association.
In the application form 10, there are quite a few questions for which I need your kind assistance to answer those question.

CHECKLIST- DOCUMENTS DESCRIPTION ( Page 16/18 of the application form))

If your child has attended school in Ireland for less than three years
A letter from the Department of Employment Affairs and Social Protection stating that you are receipt of child benefit for your child, and the date on which payment commenced
AND
A letter from your doctor stating that your child is registered with the practice, the date your child was first registered and the dates your child attended the surgery, including your child’s Patient Immunisation Record where applicable.

We live in Northern Ireland, so what documents are required. I recall that once I have spoken to Citizenship Division over the phone and I was advised that because my application will be based on Irish association, therefore, I will not be required to submit any of the above documents with the application form. The above documents are only required for those who live in the Republic of Ireland. Could you please provide me with the updated and correct information and advice regarding the above documents and requirements

Please advise. I look forward to your response.
