Hi members,
my wife is living in UK on residence permit as a spouse of British citizen. she had been given the residence permit for 2 years and 8 months. Now she needs to apply for the extension to complete her 5 years. I need to know that, is it the right form for her visa/residence permit extension Apply online (form FLR (M)) https://www.gov.uk/government/publicati ... form-flr-m

looking forward for reply. Thanks

Yes, it's the correct application. Your wife doesn't hold a residence permit, she has a spouse settlement visa under the UK Immigration Rules.

Note that the NHS surcharge will increase to £1,000 on the 8th January. This is in addition to the visa fee.

thanks for the reply. There is a question on this form.
Extending or switching to a partner route
is this the first time you have applied for a partner route, or an extension, with your
current partner (include as a fiancé(e) or proposed civil partner)?
[] Yes [] No

Shall is select Yes or No. It is not first time that she is going to apply on Partner route, she came in UK on partner route/spouse visa, so it look that I should select No. But she is going to apply to extend her spouse visa first time, for another 2.5 years, so it looks that I should select Yes. Need advice on this question please. Thanks

It isn't a trick questions. Answer yes if extending a spouse visa.

thanks for the help.

Can I ask that I have submitted the online application FLR(M) on 4th Jan. How many days I have left to send the supporting documents?

Plus, Do I need to submit the Birth certificates of myself and my wife, as parents of our daughters (one is dependent applicant and other is British citizen). Because during the online application , there was a question to submit the Birth certificates of both parents. BUT, in the final list of supporting documents, there is no anything like that, in which we can see that I have to submit the birth certificates of both parents. any help?
