BC Question for a friend

Post by Wanderer » Mon Mar 16, 2015 6:57 pm

I hopefully know the answer but making sure before I open my big mouth.....

Person is female, born in USA before 1981 to an American Mother and British and British-born father, married and father on Birth Certificate.

I feel sure she is British (by decent), and only needs to formally pay the Ceremony Fee and attend (and Passport fee) to completely 'make it so' - am I correct?

Your friend can apply and become British by descent.
I am sometimes wrong.

I feel sure she is British (by decent) Yes, automatically British by Descent
and only needs to formally pay the Ceremony Fee and attend No
(and Passport fee) to completely 'make it so' She can apply directly for a British passport as she is British by Descent.
